Abstract: The objective of this work was to trace the socioeconomic profile of small rural producers residing in the Cazumbá Extractive Reserve - Iracema in the municipality of Sena Madureira - Acre and to identify the main zootechnical activities used in the properties. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires applied to 30 producers. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed with the help of Excel l® software and grouped into tables and figures, characterizing a non-probabilistic sampling. From the interviews it was possible to verify that 48% of respondents are female and 52% male, aged between 20 and 29 years 83.3% of those interviewed stated that they exploit some type of animal husbandry. Most 60% of respondents have incomplete primary education and only 6.7% have completed higher education 60% of respondents answered that the main income comes from the Bolsa Família-PBF program among the main difficulties reported by the interviewees, deficient technical assistance, lack of credit and excessive rain stand out, corresponding to 70%, 43% and 13%, respectively. The predominant animal husbandry in the reserve was birds (chickens) horses sheep pigs and donkeys mules and fish, representing 80%, 13%, 10%, 6.6% and 3.3%, respectively. This study revealed that training and knowledge transfer between research, teaching and extension agencies and rural producers are necessary, aiming at the development of their animal production systems.
