Dissertation note: Monografia (graduação) - Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Acre, Campus Cruzeiro do Sul, Curso Superior de Tecnologia em Agroecologia, 2017. Summary: Soil quality can be measured by using bioindicators that reflect significantly on the environmental status or sustainability status and on the quality of an agroecosystem. In this context, the conditions that these insects live, the environment in which they live, are aided in the decision making regarding the conduction of agroecosystems in the region of the Juruá Valley. The objective of this study was to survey the entomological detritivorous fauna present in the litter of the soil in the area of an open ombrophylous forest fragment located at IFAC - Cruzeiro do Sul Campus. Pitfall traps were collected, totaling 10 traps, Arranged in two lines of five traps spaced 1 m2 (1 x 1 / m). Four collections were made, both of which were divided into two areas, the first one being pasture and the second, the collections were carried out in the morning (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and withdrawn in the 24 hour period at the same time , During the months of May and August of 2016. The insects captured were packaged for the Biological Laboratory of the Campus Cruzeiro do Sul, where the triage, counting and order-level identification were carried out with the aid of a microscope. As a result, an abundance of 73 species were collected in the forest area of the Cruzeiro do Sul campus, representing 3 orders, 4 families and 5 genera, according to Table 1, and 76 species in the campus pasture area and representing 5 orders , 6 families and 3 genera. This small diversity of orders in the area of forest and pasture - IFAC, Campus Cruzeiro do Sul may be related to the interference suffered by the lack of different collection methods, in at least two different seasons of the year, in the rainy season Drought in the region, allowing for further deepening.KEYWORDS: Identification. Agroecosystem. Soil quality.
